This beautiful art deco gold plated "Benrus" gents wristwatch could be used on all social occasions. The movement is in lovely working condition. Although there are obvious signs of previous use, they are very much in keeping with the age of this timepiece.
Movement: Hand wound signed movement. As can be seen in the photographs, the movement is in beautifully clean condition having been serviced within the last 12 months.
Case: Gold plated art deco style case in lovely vintage condition with signs of use that reflect a timepiece that has been well cared for. Approx.29.5mm x 34mm excluding crown and lugs. Lug width = 16mm. Stainless steel clip on back that remains crisp and firm.
Dial / Hands: Cushion shaped bevelled dial. There are small areas on the dial that have sustained damage to the paint. The largest being approx 2mm x 0.5 mm. These areas are at 2h, 5h & 9h. The dial also displays spotting very much in keeping with a timepiece of that age. This can be seen through a loupe.
The hands display some very minor oxidation in keeping with age but their style would indicate that they are likely to be original to the watch.
Strap: The timepiece has been fitted with a modern high quality strap.
